If you are a designer, how will you illustrate the weather?
Zirkumflex, a multi-faceted creative company, is showing their latest project made by a Berlin-Brussels-based design company,SAQ during DAS Weekend and Transmediale 2011. Named “BotoxCloud”, the installation is a reactive modular lighting system made of paper which hovers over the audience’s head like a cloud.
SAQ explores the idea of pluralistic or probabilistic architecture, and it aims to demonstrate the complexities of the weather by taking the lighting performance as a metaphor. In other words, this installation can create various possible structural performances depending on the surrounding. For example, when the light comes through the paper models, it simply physically changes. By different combination, the paper models create interesting pattern and representations so that the audience can engage its expression visually and mentally.
SAQ published a limit edition cut and folded print of the paper models used in the installation. This limited edition, two abstract paper models, can be constructed individually or combined in various connections which capture the light like clouds on a sunny day.

Zirkumflex與SAQ共同合作，在DAS Weekend和Transmediale 2011期間發表了最新作品「BotoxCloud」，SAQ以建築概念討論設計本身的多元及可能性作為發想基礎，設計了這個以燈光表現作為比喻，並期望表現出天氣的複雜性的裝置。此裝置是以紙模型創造出一種類似雲朵效果的照明設計，透過不同的組合，當光源透過紙模型即呈現不同的反射圖樣，因此這個裝置會有多樣性光線表現，而觀賞者處在這個空間時，不僅視覺上可以看到裝置所創造出的物理環境，或許在也可以想像到設計者所創造出來的天空。
SAQ也同時出版了兩款限量紙模型裝置，可以透過單一紙模或是兩款一起組合，創造出屬於自己的艷陽下雲朵。
